Botanical and Avian Studies: Echoes of the 1800s
Inspired by historical botanical and bird illustrations from the 1800s—a style used for scientific depictions before photography was common—Ms. Stump’s students created unique artwork of birds and flowers. Using pencil and watercolor pencil, each student captured their subject. The resulting drawings and paintings were compiled digitally into a piece that is framed and ready to hang.
